1. About the Service

WaitAndBuy is a free tool designed to help users pause before making purchases by saving photos, prices, and notes about items they are considering buying, and revisiting that decision after a waiting period. WaitAndBuy is currently offered free of charge as part of a freemium model. We do not currently process payments, sell products, or act as a marketplace of any kind.

WaitAndBuy does not sell goods, is not a retailer, and is not affiliated with any store, brand, or product you may photograph or log using the Service. We simply provide a tool to support more intentional decision-making.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 defines anyone under 18 as a "child" and requires verifiable parental consent before processing a child's personal data. To keep the Service simple and avoid needing parental-consent systems we don't currently support, WaitAndBuy is only available to users who are 18 or older. By using WaitAndBuy, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You may need to create an account to use certain features (e.g., saving items, submitting stories).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content

4.1 Content You Submit

WaitAndBuy allows you to upload photos, prices, notes, and optionally submit personal stories about your purchase decisions ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.

4.2 License to Us

By submitting User Content, you grant WaitAndBuy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, and (where you explicitly opt in, e.g. by submitting a story for publication) publish that content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Service. Private items you save for personal tracking (photos, prices, notes) are treated as your personal data and are not published or shared publicly unless you explicitly submit them for that purpose (e.g., through story submission).

4.3 Your Responsibilities

You agree that any User Content you submit:

• Does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Does not contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful material.
• Is accurate to the best of your knowledge, particularly for stories submitted for publication.

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review, edit, refuse, or remove any User Content at our discretion, including story submissions reviewed by our editorial team prior to publication.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Upload content that infringes on the rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any individual or entity.

6. No Purchase Facilitation

WaitAndBuy does not process transactions, hold funds, or facilitate purchases between you and any retailer. Any decision to buy or not buy an item remains entirely your own. We are not responsible for the outcome of your purchase decisions, the accuracy of prices you log, or any transaction you complete with a third-party retailer.

7. Freemium Model & Future Changes

The Service is currently provided free of charge as part of an early, freemium stage of the project. We may, at our discretion — for example, once the Service reaches a certain number of users — introduce optional paid features, subscriptions, or premium tiers in the future. If we do, we will update these Terms and provide reasonable notice before charging you anything. Continued use of any paid feature will be subject to updated terms presented at that time, and no existing free feature you rely on will be converted to paid without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, designs, text, graphics, and other content on the Service (excluding User Content) are owned by WaitAndBuy or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our branding or platform without our written permission.

9. Third-Party Links & Content

The Service may reference or display information about third-party products, stores, or brands (e.g., items you photograph). We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for any third-party products, retailers, or content referenced within the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• Using the Service will result in any specific financial outcome, savings, or change in spending behavior.
• Any content, story, or information on the Service is complete or accurate.

WaitAndBuy is a decision-support tool, not financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WaitAndBuy and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed $10 (ten US dollars), or its equivalent in Indian Rupees.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WaitAndBuy and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., via the Service or email) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
