This policy applies to anyone who uses the WaitAndBuy website or app ("Service"). You must be 18 or older to use the Service (see our Terms and Conditions), so this policy does not address the processing of children's data.

• Item data:photos you upload, prices, notes, categories, and waiting-period settings you create for items you're considering buying.
• Story submissions: if you choose to submit a personal story for publication, the text, images, and any details you include.
• Contact form submissions: name, email, topic, and message when you contact us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns within the Service.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, and access timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used to support essential website functionality, such as keeping you logged in and remembering basic preferences. With your consent, we may also use analytics technologies described in Section 9.

We do not currently collect payment information, since WaitAndBuy does not process payments at this time.

• Provide and operate the core features of the Service (saving items, reminders, waiting periods).
• Allow you to create and manage your account.
• Review and, where you've opted in, publish story submissions.
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your saved item photos, prices, or notes for advertising purposes.

We process personal data on the basis of your consent where consent is required, and where applicable, for purposes necessary to provide the Service you request or for other lawful purposes permitted under applicable law.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us. Withdrawing consent may limit or end your ability to use certain features of the Service.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited data with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, storage, or email delivery providers), solely to the extent needed to provide the Service.

Any story you explicitly submit for publication will be visible publicly, since that is the purpose of submitting it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data may be stored on servers located outside India, depending on the hosting providers we use. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such providers maintain adequate data protection standards.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Necessary technologies: Used to support essential website functionality, such as keeping you logged in and remembering basic preferences.
• Analytics: With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand website usage, measure performance, and improve WaitAndBuy.

Analytics are not enabled until you provide consent through our analytics consent banner. If you decline analytics consent, we do not load these analytics services.

10. Grievance Redressal

As an individual operator, I personally act as the point of contact for any privacy-related grievances and will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.
